Trip To UK Parliament
We got to visit New Palace Yard close to the Elizabeth Tower, the home of Big Ben. We had a tour around the beautiful Palace of Westminster as well as a visit to the Chambers of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, where laws have been made and scrutinised for centuries. We also got to see the medieval Westminster Hall and the atmospheric Central Lobby which serves as the meeting point for members of both houses.
The highlight for us was standing in the House of Commons where all Prime Ministers have done debates and do a mock debate against one another.
This was a very inspirational trip for us both and are grateful to the staff at UK Parliament for the tour and the fun day out.
