30 Days Wild - Week 3 & 4 Update
This is what me and my brother have got up to for week
three and four of 30 Days Wild!
Day 15 - We spent some time doing some wildlife yoga outdoors. We had lots of fun and felt happy. Can you spot our yoga poses?
Day 16 - We spent some time looking at the different wildflowers and took these photos. Wildflowers are very important for the bees and our ecosystem. Read my blog on bees for more information Why Are Bees So Important? (shaansecoworld.blogspot.com)
Day 17 - We spent some time looking at how we can reduce plastic within our home. We have organised the utility room and we are determined to do all the rooms in our house.
Day 18 - We joined in at a live online event where we were chatting to a panel of exciting authors who have been inspired by nature in their writing and books.
Day 19 - We went for an early evening walk in the nature reserve at the back of our garden. So lucky to be surrounded by all this wildlife by our home. We even spotted some horses too!
Day 20 - Joined in with the Big Wild Quiz which was lots of fun! This featured, Sophie Pavelle, David Oakes, Dr Amir Khan, Cel Spellman and Mya-Rose Craig.
Day 21 - After school we went to look at the wildflowers . The meadows were full of colour and buzzing with insects!
Day 22 - We went on a bug hunt. We discovered this spider and needed help to identify it. We have been told it is a Cucumber Green Spider! But be careful it's not something you can eat!! Unless your Bear Grylls!
Day 23 - After school we went on a mini wildness search. We saw a lot of moss and flowers around this little brook.
Day 24 - Wild about politics! I have previously written to our local MP about air pollution around schools and how it is affecting wildlife as well as our environment. I have written again and asked for her help in this matter and to see if she will implement changes for our local community and schools.
Day 25 - June the 25th was my 9th birthday! Therefore, I made a donation with my pocket money to plant and dedicate a tree to all my friends in Year 4 at my school. This is a great cause and anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so at the following link: Plant a tree to help nature thrive or as a gift l UK | National Trust
Day 26 - So excited to receive this butterfly growing kit for my birthday! Me and my brother are going to have lots of fun watching the butterflies grow and setting them free.
Day 27 - Read my post on my schools eco committee HTS - Eco Committee Update - Eco Schools - Step 1 (shaansecoworld.blogspot.com)
Day 28 - Me and my brother researched about crocodiles and lions. We learnt some very interesting facts!
Day 29 - Me and my brother planted our sunflowers. We are having a competition between ourselves to see whose flower gets the tallest!
Day 30 - Our final random act of wildness is that we have become members at The Wildlife Trust. This is so we can stand up for the wildlife near where we live, help bring people closer to nature. As well as keeping the nature we love safe for everyone to enjoy long into the future. If your interested in becoming a member go to; Join | The Wildlife Trusts
